It may sound like an odd tip, but looking after your feet can make the world of difference when you are constantly on them. Make sure you purchase comfortable footwear before your first shift! If there’s one thing you need to know, it’s that you’ll be stood up for most of the day and it can really take its toll on your feet, especially if you are not used to it.

What you need to understand is you’ll most likely be required to work all over the Christmas period.
